Pastor Davis A. & Helena McDougald,

Together Pastor Mac and his wife have served the Lord for many wonderful years. Although life and the ministry have posed its challenges from time to time, they are still thankful to God for His tender mercies and His loving kindness shown to them.

Their ministry together started in Charleston at Godhouse Evangelist Church in 1981, under the direction of Joshua Benjamin, Sr. Some of their ministry roles at Godhouse were the deaconate, gatekeepers, missionaries, and of course, prayer.

Shortly after leaving Godhouse, they helped to form, Seed of Faith, along with Apostle Leroy Hamilton. They served in many capacities in the Seed of Faith Ministry until the Lord led them to Antioch (then the Church of Charleston). It was through the efforts of Nancy Foreit that brought them to Botany Bay in Archdale, where the Church of Charleston was being formed. Pastor Mac’s young family was prepared for what God had in store for them through many of the visions He had given their young daughter Beth. God showed Beth that their pastor wouldn’t be African-American. The year was 1989 and they have been a part of Antioch ever since.

Faithfulness to God and His people has led Pastor McDougald to his current position as the pastor of Antioch Community Ministries.
